Parents & Citizens Association

The Girraween High School P & C Association is an avenue for communication between the school, parents and the community. It is a major source of ongoing funds for the school including the canteen.

The P & C also assists the school by providing representatives on student selection, staff selection, canteen and uniform committees. We apply for grants and assist the school, the departments or individual students with various projects.

Meetings of the P & C are held in the staff common room at 7:30pm on the 4th Wednesday of each month during school terms. The Principal and Deputies attend and all are welcome. There is also a suggestion box in the front office for any matters you would like raised.

P&C 2007

The AGM in March saw many changes to the P&C. A new executive was elected; Peter Rose (president), Ram Matta (co-vice president), Stuart Cox (co-vice president) and Liz McLoughlin (Secretary) stepped into the positions vacated by the hardworking 2006 committee. Coney Lau remained as the treasurer.

The new committee plan to contribute to the well-being of the school community, in particular working towards increased attendance and participation by parents in school and P&C functions. We look forward to working with the new principal Ms Mary Ann Das Neves in furthering our goals.
